70x50cm - Acrylic and Oil on canvas

“Dance like nobody's watching, love like you've never been hurt, sing like nobody's listening, live like it's heaven on earth".
Mark Twain

Dedicated to a dancer who can not dance anymore but that, in her mind, she continues to feel the passion and inspiration to dance.
She closes her eyes and there it is, on the stage.
Suddenly the darkness comes to life and becomes the red of the stage, the spotlight, the silence of the audience. She is afraid to make mistakes, but little by little she begin her dance and creates a perfect motion.
Dance for herself, for the love of the dance itself and for the painter who portrays her.
The real world is a raw and ruined canvas while she is estranged from it in all its delicate beauty.
Observe her well, you will see her breathe in the moment of her maximum concentration and she will dance for you too, in secret.
